Habitat Restoration: Garlic Mustard Pull

Calendar Happens On Mar 14, 2025
Time 10a.m.-noon
Expired

Description

Help restore the woodland habitat and eradicate garlic mustard at the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Garlic mustard is a biennial herb introduced from Europe, present in every Ohio county. It competes with early native wildflowers and suppresses soil fungi that have a synergistic relationship with trees. Volunteers will walk through woodlands, pulling and collecting garlic mustard before it has the opportunity to shed seeds.

We are stalking the woods for garlic mustard on Fridays beginning March 7 and ending April 11, from 10a.m.-noon.
