Our mission: Providing relief to our neighbors in need.
People In Need, Inc. of Delaware County Ohio (PIN) is a local social service agency that assists Delaware County families and individuals in their time of need. Our services include: assistance with rent, mortgages, utilities, school shoes/supplies, emergency medications, eye and dental treatment. Our food pantry is regulated by the Ohio Department of Agriculture, Delaware General Health District, the Mid-Ohio Food Collective and is the largest in Delaware County. We have a several other programs to address food security and partner with other agencies to take "hunger" off the table. Those services are: mobile pantries to remote areas of the county, senior commodity box program, weekend backpack deliveries for Delaware City Schools and Produce Markets. Our signature event is the Holiday Clearing House. PIN receives substantial community support and is a United Way Agency.
What We Do
We provide emergency services to individuals and families in need in Delaware County. We accomplish this through a food pantry, Produce Markets, Senior Commodity Boxes, Mobile Pantries, delivery of weekend backpacks, assistance with emergency prescriptions, eyecare and dental care, eviction prevention and mortgage assistance, fan distributions, School Shoe Program and our signature event, the Holiday Clearing House.
