About the event: If you enjoy collaborative and creative gardening, consider participating in the Children and Youth Garden this year. The foundation of this team is a 90-foot diameter circular children’s garden and ADA accessible beds, which are the canvas for children’s activities every Tuesday evening from May-October during the Community Supported Agriculture season. This garden is also home to unity crops which are recommended by the MTSO community and represent many cultures. Volunteers may also help with visiting youth groups and emerging educational programs targeting children and youth.
What will volunteers do? We will be preparing the Children and Youth Garden for the growing season: bed preparation, trellis building, and early season mulching.
What will volunteers need to bring or wear? Bring a water bottle and work gloves (if you don't have gloves, they will be provided), Wear sturdy shoes, long sleeves, long pants.
