Who We Are
Kids on the Block of Central Ohio is part of an international group founded in the 1970's when children with disabilities were being mainstreamed into schools. Our group was founded in 2007. We update our programs to bring into focus the problems children face in the 21st century.
What We Do
The Kids on the Block of Central Ohio is a non-profit puppeteer troupe of volunteers performing puppetry for elementary school children in support of social and emotional education. Our puppetry presentations provide children life lessons, through skits portraying children in real life situations. The skits are focused on the areas of; Bullying, Abuse, Disabilities and Inclusion, Stranger Danger, in public and on internet, Anxiety and depression.
The programs are performed primarily in elementary schools but we also perform for summer programs and in parades and social events.
