Who We Are

The Buckeye Valley Food Pantry was founded in 2008 by the then-Principal at Buckeye Valley East Elementary. She was passionate about feeding families in the local Ashley area. This mission continues today as we serve the entire Buckeye Valley School District, which covers 206 square miles and includes the communities of Ashley, Marengo, Sunbury, Delaware, Radnor, Ostrander, Kilbourne, Lewis Center and Powell.

What We Do

The Buckeye Valley Food Pantry serves the entire Buckeye Valley Local School District. We provide food, personal care items, diapers and pet food to those individuals and families who reside in our School District. We are a member of the Mid-Ohio Food Collective and the Delaware County Hunger Alliance. We provide in-store shopping weekly on Tuesday mornings from 10 to 12. A valid ID and proof of residency in the School District is required. Clients can shop once a month. Panera Bread is also available each week and clients are invited to pick up bread each Tuesday. We provide weekend bags to children/families who request it. These bags are provided weekly during the school year. We also provide milk, bread, eggs, cereal and meat to families who can pick it up on a weekly basis. These are families with children or anyone who requests meal assistance.
