We are pleased to announce our Summer Respite Care Program is returning for the 3rd year! We are expanding from 2 days a week to 3 days a week at our shelter! This helps us, help the parents in shelter with supplementing childcare, so they can take care of needs. While we provide a fun environment for the children in our children's area of the shelter.
We are looking for volunteers on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from Noon to 4 at our Delaware shelter location. We ask all volunteers to commit to one 4 hours shift a week.
Anyone over the age of 18 will need to have a background check completed. We reimburse the cost after 20 volunteer hours. We also require a one-time 4-hour training at our shelter before Respite begins. .png)
Minimum age to volunteer for the Respite Care Program is 16 and we need written permission from a parent or guardian.
