Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by domestic violence? Are you looking for a meaningful way to support Turning Point in their mission to provide safety, support, and resources to survivors? Hosting a collection drive or fundraiser on behalf of Turning Point is a powerful way to contribute to our cause while raising awareness about domestic violence and the critical services we provide.

Key Benefits of Hosting a Collection Drive or Fundraiser for Turning Point:

  1. Supporting Survivors Through Donations: Donations are a vital component of our efforts to provide necessities for individuals and families staying in our shelter. By hosting a collection drive or fundraiser, you directly contribute to ensuring that survivors have access to essential items such as clothing, toiletries, bedding, and household supplies during their time of need.

  2. Raising Awareness About Domestic Violence: Hosting a collection drive or fundraiser provides a platform to raise awareness about the prevalence of domestic violence in our communities and the importance of the work Turning Point does. By educating others about the signs of domestic violence, available resources, and ways to support survivors, you help break the silence surrounding this issue and empower individuals to take action.

  3. Building Community Engagement: A collection drive or fundraiser is an opportunity to engage your community in a meaningful cause. Whether you're mobilizing friends, family, coworkers, or community groups, coming together to support survivors sends a powerful message of solidarity and compassion.

  4. Providing Agency Materials for Support: To assist you in your efforts, Turning Point will provide agency materials, including informational brochures, posters, and other resources, to help raise awareness.

How You Can Get Involved:

  • Host a Donation Collection Drive: Collect items such as clothing, toiletries, bedding, and household supplies to benefit individuals and families staying at Turning Point's shelter.
  • Organize a Fundraiser: Host a fundraising event such as a bake sale, car wash, or community dinner to raise funds in support of Turning Point's programs and services.
  • Spread the Word: Use social media, email newsletters, and word-of-mouth to promote your collection drive or fundraiser and raise awareness about domestic violence.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of survivors and help create a community where everyone can live free from abuse. Thank you for considering hosting a collection drive or fundraiser for Turning Point. Your support truly makes a difference.
