We need your outgoing and fun personality to interact with attendees coming into our show. We want you to welcome them and ask them to purchase some raffle tickets.  They will be helping to support the show and all we do with gourds In Ohio.  The raffle is a 50/50 raffle and they could possibly win half of the raffle sales amount.  The more tickets sold the greater the prize money.   
THERE WILL BE TWO $50 GIFT CARD RAFFLE DRAWINGS FOR OUR VOLUNTEERS.

Saturday, October 4, 2025  YOU WILL NEED TO CHECK IN 15 MIN EARLY for instructions.   Duties will be assigned at event. Our volunteers have a lot of fun while helping us with the many things that are going on.  If you like art there is a Make it and Take section  that is very busy.  Other jobs include selling souvenirs. registering people for classes and selling Ohio Gourd Society memberships.   A vendor may need your assistance in some way.

If your hobby includes video taping and you need more experience we would love to have you  tape some demonstrations at our Gourd Show.  There is a lot going on and there is food and music.    If you would like you can bring a friend.  
All our volunteers can enter a raffle drawing.  There will be a drawing for two $50 gift cards.

We need a person with creative ideas to help promote our Ohio Gourd Show.

We have three people helping with publicity now, but they need help in carrying out the ideas we already have.   If we had 2-3 more people it would make it easier on everyone and we could accomplish so much more.    We need more exposure in the Delaware community as well as key locations around the state of Ohio.     If you are an idea person and willing to contact radio stations and newspapers, etc. then WE NEED YOU.

If you have a flare for writing and knowledge of doing an online newsletter for our non profit society…..We need you.     The newsletter comes out quarterly and our President would give you information to include.   There may be a few that would need the newsletter mailed to them.    
All our volunteers can enter a raffle.   There will be two $50 gift cards.

If you would eventually like to be Judge then being a Judging Clerk is the place to start.

You will be assisting the judges who will be judging the gourd competition.  There are three big categories. 1)  Art/Crafted Gourds  2)  Raw or Current Season Gourds  3) Manipulated Gourds

Then there are over 100 individual categories.  You will learn a lot and see up close some pretty amazing gourds and art and how the winners of ribbons are chosen.

There will be some training and tips meeting about 11:00 am  and the judging takes place from about 1:30 - 4:00 pm.  
ALSO ….All our volunteers can enter a raffle for two $50 gift cards.
