Needs From: Connections Volunteer Center

We acknowledge businesses and individuals who donate money and/or food items to our Pantry.  This information is tracked via an Excel spreadsheet and letters are generated via a Word document.  This task is completed each month. Letterhead, envelopes, return address labels and stamps are provided.  All you need are a PC or laptop, the templates, a printer and ink, envelopes and stamps. This can be accomplished once you receive the list of Food Pantry Donations from the previous month.

Our pantry is open every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to Noon.  We need volunteers to check shoppers in, help them shop as needed, help shoppers carry items to their car, rotate stock (stock shelves), clean (vacuuming and wiping carts, tables and handles down), accept deliveries from Mid-Ohio Foodbank.  

We need an additional volunteer to pick up the Panera Bread leftover at the end of the day on Monday nights.  We pick up at the Delaware store, 750 W. Central Ave. Volunteers need to arrive by 9 p.m. and let the store staff know that you are picking up the donation.  At that point, you get garbage bags of bagels, bread (sliced and unsliced) and pastries.  Then you bag it up at home and deliver it to the pantry in time for Tuesday morning's pantry hours 10 a.m. to Noon. We need a volunteer for the 3rd and 5th Mondays.
